This report presents the concept of blackwashing, a specific form of socialwashing that consists of the engagement of companies in the anti-racist agenda with the aim of improving their reputation among the public and political decision-makers. In addition to situating the practice as one of the forms of corporate political action, the publication identifies and analyzes blackwashing activities carried out by large industries whose products are a risk factor for chronic non-communicable diseases, from three different sectors: ultra-processed foods and beverages, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, comparing actions and practices before and after the #BlackLivesMatter global campaign in 2020.
